Job overview
Accurate payment posting keeps revenue data trustworthy. As a Remote Payment Posting Specialist you will post insurance and patient payments into the billing system, match each payment to the correct claim, post adjustments and denials and reconcile payment records.
No prior healthcare or billing experience is needed. Paid training covers payment posting workflows, ERA and EOB basics, billing systems and HIPAA basics. Payer mix and scope depend on the team you join.
This opportunity may suit people searching for payment posting specialist jobs, remote payment posting jobs, work-from-home medical billing jobs, or no experience healthcare billing jobs.
No Experience Required: We'll Train You
No prior healthcare or billing experience is required. Employers provide paid training on payment posting, ERAs and EOBs, reconciliation, billing systems and HIPAA, and you learn the work step by step. Many specialists come from banking, bookkeeping, administrative or data entry roles.
Structured Remote Work with Predictable Hours
Payment posting runs on daily payment batches and reconciliation deadlines, usually weekday daytime, with no on-call and no in-person requirements. Both full-time and part-time positions are offered. Discuss your preferred schedule in your interview.
Non-clinical role, privacy first
This is an administrative and financial role. It does not involve clinical decisions. Payment discrepancies and issues affecting patient accounts are escalated per the employer's protocol. You will handle names, contact details, medical record numbers and payment records, so employers train you on HIPAA awareness and expect strict confidentiality.
