Job overview
When a patient can't log in, they can't reach their care. As a Remote Patient Help Desk Specialist you will troubleshoot portal and mobile app access, resolve login errors, lockouts and password resets, set up multi-factor authentication and guide patients step by step until it works.
No prior healthcare or help desk experience is needed. Paid training covers patient portals, support ticketing, troubleshooting methods and HIPAA basics. Platforms and scope depend on the team you join.
This opportunity may suit people searching for patient help desk specialist jobs, remote patient portal support jobs, work-from-home healthcare help desk jobs, or no experience healthcare jobs.
No Experience Required: We'll Train You
No prior healthcare or help desk experience is required. Employers provide paid training on portal and app support, account recovery, identity verification, ticketing and HIPAA, and you learn the work step by step. Many specialists come from tech support, call center, retail or customer service roles.
Structured Remote Work with Predictable Hours
Help desk work runs on scheduled support queues, usually weekday daytime, with no on-call and no in-person requirements. Both full-time and part-time positions are offered. Discuss your preferred schedule in your interview.
Non-clinical role, privacy and security first
This is a technical support role. You do not give clinical advice, and clinical questions are routed to the right team. Verify patient identity before helping with account access, and escalate unresolved issues per the employer's protocol. You will handle names, contact details and account information, so employers train you on HIPAA awareness and expect strict confidentiality.
