Job overview
Providers focus on care when their day is organized. As a Remote Medical Practice Assistant you will manage provider schedules, prepare the provider's day, coordinate with patients on the provider's behalf and handle the administrative tasks that keep a practice moving.
No prior healthcare experience is needed. Paid training covers provider scheduling, EHR and practice management systems, documentation support and HIPAA basics. The specific practice, specialty and scope depend on the team you join.
This opportunity may suit people searching for medical practice assistant jobs, remote provider support jobs, work-from-home medical office jobs, or no experience healthcare jobs.
No Experience Required: We'll Train You
No prior healthcare experience is required. Employers provide paid training on provider scheduling, EHR and practice management systems, documentation support and HIPAA, and you learn the work step by step. Many assistants come from medical office, front desk, executive assistant or administrative roles.
Structured Remote Work with Predictable Hours
Practice support follows provider schedules, usually weekday daytime, with no on-call and no in-person requirements. Both full-time and part-time positions are offered. Discuss your preferred schedule in your interview.
Administrative role, privacy first
This is an administrative provider-support role. It does not involve clinical decisions, and clinical questions are routed to the right team member. Concerns that need supervisor input and situations affecting patient care are escalated per the employer's protocol. You will handle names, contact details, appointment information and medical record numbers, so employers train you on HIPAA awareness and expect strict confidentiality.
