Job overview
Healthcare call centers are the voice on the other end of the line for patients and members. As a Remote Healthcare Call Center Agent you will answer inbound calls, place outbound reminder and follow-up calls, resolve non-clinical questions and route clinical questions to the right team.
No prior healthcare or call center experience is needed. Paid training covers call workflows, call center and EHR systems, empathy on sensitive calls and HIPAA basics. Programs and scope depend on the team you join.
This opportunity may suit people searching for healthcare call center agent jobs, remote healthcare call center jobs, work-from-home medical call center jobs, or no experience healthcare jobs.
No Experience Required: We'll Train You
No prior healthcare or call center experience is required. Employers provide paid training on call handling, call routing, documentation, outbound programs and HIPAA, and you learn the work step by step. Many agents come from retail, hospitality, banking or customer service roles.
Structured Remote Work with Predictable Hours
Call center work runs on scheduled call queues and campaign lists, usually weekday daytime, with no on-call and no in-person requirements. Both full-time and part-time positions are offered. Discuss your preferred schedule in your interview.
Non-clinical role, privacy first
Clinical questions are routed to the appropriate clinical team per the employer's protocol, and you do not give medical advice. Issues needing supervisor input are escalated. You will handle names, contact details, account and coverage details and health information, so employers train you on HIPAA awareness and expect strict confidentiality.
