Job overview
Clean claims get paid faster. As a Remote Claims Processing Assistant you will move claims through the pipeline: entering claim data accurately, scrubbing claims for errors before submission, tracking them through payers and following up on pending or unpaid claims.
No prior healthcare or claims experience is needed. Paid training covers claim forms (CMS-1500 and UB-04), claim edits, clearinghouses, payer portals, payer requirements and HIPAA basics. Payers and scope depend on the team you join.
This opportunity may suit people searching for claims processing assistant jobs, remote claims processing jobs, work-from-home claims assistant jobs, or no experience healthcare billing jobs.
No Experience Required: We'll Train You
No prior healthcare, billing or claims experience is required. Employers provide paid training on claim forms, codes, scrubbers and clearinghouses, payer portals and HIPAA, and you learn the work step by step. Many assistants come from billing, insurance, data entry or administrative roles.
Structured Remote Work with Predictable Hours
Claims processing runs on daily claim queues and submission deadlines, usually weekday daytime, with no on-call and no in-person requirements. Both full-time and part-time positions are offered. Discuss your preferred schedule in your interview.
Non-clinical role, privacy first
This is an administrative and financial role. It does not involve clinical decisions. You will handle names, medical record numbers, dates of service, diagnoses, procedure codes and payer IDs, so employers train you on HIPAA awareness and expect strict confidentiality. Claims discrepancies and issues needing supervisor input are escalated per the employer's protocol.
