Job overview
Healthcare organizations stay healthy financially when aging balances are worked steadily. As a Remote AR Support Specialist you will support accounts receivable across insurance, patient and government payers: reviewing AR aging, prioritizing follow-up, coordinating tasks with the AR team and reporting on AR performance.
No prior healthcare or AR experience is needed. Paid training covers AR workflows, aging buckets, payer types, billing and payer portal systems and HIPAA basics. Payer mix and scope depend on the team you join.
This opportunity may suit people searching for AR support jobs, remote accounts receivable support jobs, work-from-home AR specialist jobs, or no experience healthcare billing jobs.
No Experience Required: We'll Train You
No prior healthcare, billing or AR experience is required. Employers provide paid training on AR aging, payer types (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, patient self-pay), billing systems, payer portals and HIPAA, and you learn the workflow step by step. Many specialists come from billing, collections, insurance or medical office roles.
Structured Remote Work with Predictable Hours
AR support runs on steady daily work queues and reporting cycles, usually weekday daytime, with no on-call and no in-person requirements. Both full-time and part-time positions are offered. Discuss your preferred schedule in your interview.
Non-clinical role, privacy first
This is a financial and administrative role that supports the AR team. It does not involve clinical decisions. You will handle names, medical record numbers, dates of service, payer IDs and financial data, so employers train you on HIPAA awareness and expect strict confidentiality. Financial discrepancies and issues needing supervisor input are escalated per the employer's protocol.
