Job overview
Complex visits need careful coordination. As a Remote Appointment Coordinator you will manage provider calendars and templates, book visits across multiple providers, specialties and locations, schedule referral-based, diagnostic and procedural appointments and keep reminders, confirmations and waitlists moving.
No prior healthcare or appointment coordination experience is needed. Paid training covers scheduling policies, calendar and EHR systems and HIPAA basics. Specialties and scope depend on the team you join.
This opportunity may suit people searching for appointment coordinator jobs, remote appointment scheduling jobs, work-from-home medical appointment coordinator jobs, or no experience healthcare jobs.
No Experience Required: We'll Train You
No prior healthcare or appointment coordination experience is required. Employers provide paid training on multi-provider scheduling, templates, referrals, pre-visit requirements, scheduling systems and HIPAA, and you learn the work step by step. Many coordinators come from customer service, call center, hospitality, event coordination or administrative roles.
Structured Remote Work with Predictable Hours
Appointment coordination runs on scheduling queues and referral requests, usually weekday daytime, with no on-call and no in-person requirements. Both full-time and part-time positions are offered. Discuss your preferred schedule in your interview.
Administrative role, privacy first
This is an administrative role. It does not involve clinical decisions. Clinical questions are routed to the clinical team and concerns are escalated per the employer's protocol. You will handle names, contact details, appointment, referral and insurance information, so employers train you on HIPAA awareness and expect strict confidentiality.
